FFA System Administration Essentials




FFA System Administration Essentials is focused on teaching best practices and guidelines for System Administrators to successfully manage FinancialForce Accounting in a production environment.


Prerequisites

  • FFA Fundamentals Training Course
  • Salesforce Administrator 
     

Duration

12.5 hours (This course is divided into five sessions. Each session is 2.5 hours in length and you should plan on attending all five sessions to complete the course.)

Competencies

What are you going to learn how to do:

  • Install packages and configure the system including custom settings and use of Quickstart
  • Use data loading tools and configure user interfaces including Custom Input Forms (CIFs) and page layouts
  • Set up new companies, GLAs and dimensions
  • Create tax codes, update tax rates, ensure the correct tax fields are exposed, and conduct related ERP setup
  • Multi-company setup including multi-currency and intercompany
  • Configure organization (user) security via permission sets
  • Create user profiles/role templates and employ the user management tool to administer permission sets and license assignments
  • Use Feature Console to configure ERP as it relates to FFA and upgrades; enable ERP features (message logs, message deliveries, …)

Participants use a “hands-on” process of learning. Each participant will receive a Learning Environment for completing class exercises. Participants need to have a laptop, Internet and phone connection. It’s recommended to have another device to view the course workbook. For optimal performance of the training org, we recommend using Firefox or Chrome browser.
